WE TREAT YOUR CAR LIKE A WORK OF ART!

What is detailing?

Detailing is the systematic rejuvenation and protection of the various surfaces of a vehicle.

Do I need to have my vehicle detailed?

YES...and NO. All vehicles, from a daily driver, to those on a show circuit benefit from regular scheduled detailing. Regular washing of your vehicle keeps it clean, but offers no protection from the sun's harmful UV rays and doesn't remove contaminants that may adhere to your paint and eventually cause the clear coat to fail.. A proper detail should include a thorough cleaning of the vehicle and then the addition of protection for the various surfaces, such as plastic, leather, rubber and especially the vehicles painted surfaces. Maintaining the physical appearance of your vehicle will help retain the value when it comes time to sell it or trade it in.

Do I need paintwork correction?

Picarsso's correction process involves removal of common paint problems, such as scratches, swirl marks, buffer marks, micro-marring, bird stains, orange peel, cob- webbing and 3D hologram effects. Ultimately the paintwork will reflect light perfectly at all angles, including direct sunlight.

I just bought a new vehicle so why get it detailed?

Contrary to popular belief, new cars need detailed, almost as much as a used car. The dealership  will treat it to a quick wash and polish (probably resulting in swirl marks caused by incorrect techniques), residue from the protective film they wear during transportation may remain. Most likely they have been stored outside for months, on docks, near railways and other industrial areas. During transport to the dealership vehicles are treated to a dusting of many contaminants on the road system or by rail. Picarsso can make the delivery of your new car a day you'll remember forever!

What do you recommend for protecting my paint?

Carnauba wax is a resin produced by the leaves of a South American wax palm tree, to protect it against harsh rainforest conditions (extreme heat, solar radiation, moisture and humidity). It's strong grain structure makes carnauba the hardest wax known to man, but it also dries to an extremely deep natural shine. The more pure the carnauba wax, the more expensive, with some carnauba waxes running into the thousands of dollars for a small can. For high-end exotics and show cars there is no substitute!

Paint sealants are the science of surface protection, at it's best. Most are are made of polymers, which are composed of synthetic particles linked together. The application is much easier than carnauba wax, but most enthusiasts will tell you that sealants just don't have that deep gloss look that carnaubas do. Sealants will last much longer, in the sense that they will repel water for a longer period of time. 3-12 months, in comparison with 1-2 months with carnauba. For the average daily driver, sealants give you instant gratification, longer lasting protection and a decent amount of gloss.

There seem to be many mobile detailers. Why use Picarsso?

There are actually very few mobile detailers and a whole lot of mobile car washes! They are untrained, uninsured, unlicensed and are simply in it for the money. Paul is a perfectionist, has a passion for anything with wheels and possesses a quality rarely found now days - he cares about doing it right. Add an eye for detail, a lifetime spent around vehicles of all kinds, and the latest in advanced products and equipment, and the result is detailing as an artform.

Why is Picarsso so expensive?

At $60 an hour, Picarsso charges about the same (less in some cases) as a new car dealer. When you consider the specialized nature of what Picarsso does and there is no-one arguably better than Picarsso at what they do, the cost is quite reasonable. $1k of paint correction could save the cost of a complete repaint, or when a freshly detailed car achieves a higher asking price in a private sale.

The Scratches on my Car Seem to Come Back Shortly After Waxing

Wax fills and hides scratches, but does not remove them. Unless the surface is properly prepared with the appropriate compounds or polishes, scratches will reappear as soon as the wax starts to fade.

I had my truck "buffed out" so why can I still see swirls all over it.

Even in the hands of some "professionals" a high-speed buffer will often leave the tell tale "swirl marks". In the hands of an amateur a high speed buffer can be down right hazardous to your vehicle. Trim can be ripped off, headlights and taillights ruined and in worst case scenarios your vehicles paint system destroyed.
